We know that style is a matter of personal preference, however all styles can be well
thought out, making your home stylish long past the decades.
Focus form or function – When deciding on the style of your home, consider your focus
and the design to fit in with your lifestyle. For example, one kitchen sink might have
an emphasis on precise angles, a crisp and geometric look, and a minimalistic, but
functional style. Another might be slinky, satin-finished stainless steel, with stylish
drain grooves and is handcrafted with the greatest attention to detail. Even the colors
with a given home appliance or feature and the number of colors can determine if your
home is more stylistic or more functional.

Make Contrast make a Difference - high contrast color combinations such as robin egg
blue set against dark cocoa or white and black. Contrasting textures like smooth against
rough such as man-made steel juxtaposed with the roughness of natural shell or wood against
steel. Add a touch of the unexpected to your decor by pairing up accessories or furnishings
of mixed media - a soft chenille sofa dressed with a rough textured horsehair or zebra pillow
or velvet against metal.
Enlightenment – When considering lighting take a second look. From abstract, indirect, and
defused lighting affects your colors and striking patterns to create a winning combination.
Lighting changes the mood from inspiration, relaxation, recreation, or resting. And of course
the choice of fixture is a style in and of its self with choices of bronze, chrome, or platinum
metal finishes and track, recessed under cabinet, decorative and monorail installations.
